Hi,
There are just four weeks to go before this year’s XPDay conference (7th & 8th December), so I’d like to bring you up-to-date with the latest news:
– Programme –
We continue our focus on sessions that will appeal to experienced practitioners. The Agile community has grown and matured over the years we’ve been running XpDay, so now we want an event that helps practitioners collectively advance the State of the Art. Our first day has a full schedule of sessions; the second day will be a mix of experience reports, lightning talks and Open Space sessions. [/programme].
– Keynotes –
This year’s keynotes [/2009/keynotes] will be: * Mark Striebeck (Engineering Manager at Google, responsible for developer testing infrastructure, tools and adoption) * Dr. Doron Swade (Engineer, historian, and museum professional, the internationally recognized authority on the life and work of Charles Babbage) * Terry Saunders (Comic storyteller, Edinburgh Fringe stalwart)
– Social Events –
We’ve lined up our traditional evening social events, sponsored this year by Google and Zühlke. Monday night we’ll be sticking around in the conference venue for pizza (sponsored by Google) before heading out to the traditional London pub for further refreshment. Tuesday night we’ve planned to go straight to the pub for buffet & drinks (sponsored by Zühlke).
– Registration –
This is a not-for-profit conference, organised by volunteers from the Extreme Tuesday Club. The cost for the conference is £350. Please book here [http://booking.xpday.org/registration.php]
– Sponsors –
We are grateful to our sponsors for continuing to support the conference. This year’s sponsors are Google, Zühlke, VersionOne, BCS SPA, Rally, Agile Alliance and Skillsmatter. [/sponsors]
I hope to see you at Church House in December.
regards, Mike Hill
