Choosing session formats and tracks

We believe that the best way to learn is through experience, so we encourage sessions that involve interaction and audience participation. We are also looking for real life experiences (both good and bad) of applying Agile techniques.

Successful sessions from previous years have included experience reports, tutorials, workshops, simulations and games. Sessions will be organized into six tracks over two days. A session may be 45, 90 or 180 minutes.

A session can address a topic that involves any stakeholder or aspect of Agile development. We are looking for sessions that draw on real-life experience, with ideas that can be applied to the everyday business of software development. The broad areas we would like to cover are:

Each of these will be a track in the programme. Each link above will show you a list of sessions assigned to that track. If you are participating in the session proposal / review process you will be able to see all proposed sessions. Otherwise, you will only be able to see sessions which have been accepted into the programme.

Above all we are looking for new sessions with fresh ideas. If you’ve never presented a session before, or have had an idea for a session in the back of your mind for a while, write it up and submit it to XP Day 7.

If you’d like some advice before submitting, please feel free to contact the programme chairs at submissions@xpday.org.
